Declare It Out Loud   3/10/2018

Jesus is Lord

Romans‬ ‭10:9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

This verse beautifully sums up the path to salvation in one short sentence. There isn’t a long checklist of steps that you have to accomplish to prove that you’re worthy. It’s almost crazy how simple it is. How could the greatest gift of all time be so easy to obtain? And yet, it is.

Maybe you are reading this, and you have already declared Christ as your Lord and entered into a relationship with Him. Have you told everyone you know how they can be saved as well?

Let’s use our imaginations for a minute:

Imagine you find the cure for cancer. It’s easy and free! Wouldn’t you immediately begin telling everyone you know how they can be cured from cancer and saved? Wouldn’t you start telling your family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers in the grocery store? I’d venture to say you’d be willing to be interviewed on television telling everyone what they can do to be cured. Think of all the precious lives that would be saved.

Scripture says, “the wages of sin is death.” People all around us are dying and will face judgment for their decisions. Don’t you want them to be saved?!  We have the answer: If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

If you are already a follower of Christ, then you have the answer. Don’t keep such a precious and life-changing gift a secret. Tell everyone!

As our church prepares for The Living Passover production, start inviting people to come and watch it with you. It’s an easy avenue to get people to hear the gospel message. Begin praying now for the hearts of everyone who comes through the doors at LightHouse. And get excited as we wait with expectation to see the lives that will be changed!
